Type 1: Career Conversion Programme for Building Information Modelling (BIM) Professionals
About The Programme
The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) for BIM Professionals aims to equip mid-career individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to take on a new career in the built environment industry.
Administered by the Singapore Contractors Association Limited (SCAL), the CCP operates under the Place-and-Train mode in which the participating companies will employ the trainees before commencing the CCP. The seven-month CCP includes facilitated classroom / online training by SCAL Academy and BCA Academy, and structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) by the employers which comes with course fee subsidy and salary support.
Programme Structure & Certification
To facilitate PMETs in their new careers as BIM professionals, participants will undergo 7 months structured CCP programme including classroom training at SCAL Academy and BCA Academy, coupled with on-the-job training delivered by the CCP employer.
Courses delivered under the CCP programme includes a foundation module in Introduction to Building & Construction, Certification Course in BIM Modelling, Certification Course in BIM Management, as well as a Specialist Diploma in BIM. The courses are offered by SCAL Academy and BCA Academy.
Funding Support
Companies can tap on Government funding through course fee subsidy and salary support when training eligible PMETs under this CCP programme.
Type 2: Redeployment - Career Conversion
Programme for BIM Modellers
About The Programme
This CCP equips existing PMETs from BE sector (at risk of redundancy) to re-train their skill sets with BIM Modelling skills, technical knowledge to remain relevant in their current organisation, participants will undergo 3 months structured CCP programme including classroom training at SCAL Academy, coupled with on-the-job training delivered by the CCP employer which comes with course fee subsidy and salary support.
Target Audience
Existing PMETs with at least 1 year of working experience in the BE sector.
Programme Structure & Certification
Courses delivered under the CCP programme includes module in Introduction to Integrated Digital Delivers (IDD), Certification Course in BIM Modelling as well as a module in BIM Coordination. The courses are offered by SCAL Academy.
