Meet the speakers










Mr Chen WenJie, Associate Director, Climate Asia Pte Ltd

Mr Chen WenJie supervises and manages all projects, leveraging his expertise in local building codes and regulations, as well as broader regulatory frameworks governing the built environment. He provides Environmental Sustainability Design (ESD) advisory services to both private and public sector clients, delivering integrated solutions that minimize environmental impacts and reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions through optimized building design. Wenjie's achievements include receiving the SGBC-BCA Leadership in Sustainability Awards 2024 (Professional Leadership in Sustainability category), successfully guiding clients in obtaining environmental assessment certificates like Green Mark, LEED, WELL, EarthCheck, and WiredScore Certification, and serving as an adjunct lecturer for the GMAAP Course on Life Cycle Assessment, showcasing his expertise in ESD, building codes, regulatory frameworks, Life Cycle Assessment, and green building certifications.




 Ms Melissa Lok, BEng (Renewable Eng), GHG Professional, Green Mark Accredited Professional, WELLAP

Ms Melissa Lok is a certified ISO14064 GHG Professional where she is able to provide advisory on carbon accounting as well as, ESG advisory. Melissa has provided valuable support to corporations in establishing tracking frameworks for embodied carbon and operational carbon, conducting reviews of carbon emission targets at various building stages, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to achieve their decarbonisation goals. Melissa has accumulated more than 7 years of experience in green building consultancy with experience in carbon footprint analysis, greenhouse gas inventories and sustainability strategies. She is proficient in using carbon accounting software such as One Click LCA, GHG Protocol and ISO Standards relevant to carbon accounting.  She has led projects to the completion of Green Building Certifications and carbon disclosure for clients. Through her advisory services, she has assisted clients in achieving energy efficiency by optimizing building design and obtaining environmental assessment certificates such as Green Mark, and WELL Certification.
