The Built Environment (BE) sector in Singapore is undergoing rapid transformation due to advancements in digitalisation, automation, and sustainability. Companies must adapt by embracing smart technologies, data-driven decision-making, and new construction methodologies.
This shift is creating entirely new job roles while significantly changing the skills required for existing roles. To help companies stay competitive and build a future-ready workforce, the Career Conversion Programme for Built Environment Professionals (CCPBEP) provides structured reskilling solutions for companies through:
1. Hiring mid-career professionals and equipping them with the necessary skills to take on key job roles (New Hires Track - Place-and-Train)
2. Reskilling existing employees to take on new or redesigned roles due to business transformation (Job Redesign Reskilling (JRR) Track)By participating in CCPBEP, companies gain access to a structured talent pipeline, allowing them to:

The New Hires Track helps companies fill critical roles by hiring mid-career professionals who will undergo structured training to develop the required skills.
How It Works
1. Identify your company’s hiring needs – Find positions that require skilled professionals.
2. Hire from the CCPBEP candidate pool – SCAL Academy will provide a list of pre-screened candidates.
3. Receive up to 90% salary support – Subsidies for up to 6 months to offset hiring costs.
4. Upskill new hires with industry-relevant training – Select courses from a whitelisted list with 70% training subsidy.

The JRR Track is designed for companies undergoing business transformation. It allows employers to upskill their existing employees instead of hiring externally.
How It Works
1. Identify employees for reskilling – Select staff who need training for new or evolving roles.
2. Submit a business transformation and training plan – SCAL evaluates your proposal.
3. Receive up to 90% salary support for 3 months – Offset costs while employees undergo training.

CCPBEP Process
For Companies Hiring New Talent (Place-and-Train Track)
1. Submit an interest form via SCAL Academy.
2. Receive a list of pre-screened candidates for hiring.
3. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed and selected.
4. Sign a funding agreement and enroll your new hire in training.
For Companies Reskilling Employees (Job Redesign Reskilling - JRR Track)
1. Identify employees for reskilling and submit a business transformation plan.
2. SCAL Academy evaluates and approves the application.
3. Sign a funding agreement and enroll employees in relevant training.
