Construction in Singapore has undergone significant transformations over time; while these transformations are necessary, they require considerable time, effort, and financial investment. In recent years, there has been a growing emphasis on sustainability, as evidenced by alterations in construction methods to comply with emission reporting obligations of clients and concerns regarding forthcoming legislation, as well as adherence to Green Building standards and guidelines.
This session will explore the rationale for these modifications , the necessary steps , and approaches for reconsidering them.
Farizan is a Board Member of SGBC. She has close to 30 years of experience in the build environment in areas of construction and sustainability consulting.
Trained in both engineering and strategic consulting with Executive Master in Leadership , Innovation, Strategy and developing sustainable business model, she has worked on many well-known sustainability projects such as DBS at Newton and PSA Maintenance Based which won her IES Sustainability Award engineering project.
Her vast experience includes working with various contractors in South East Asia , Africa and parts of Europe. She is a GMAAP , LEED and WELL AP.
