Attention SLOTS members: Nation-wide registry of Construction Firms (CRS)
Following MND’s announcement early last year and the recent circular sent by BCA to all contractors on the CRS nation-wide system, SCAL would like to highlight the 2 key changes to better prepare SLOTS members for the transition into the national registry.
SLOTS members, especially those hiring foreign construction workers (ie. S Pass and/or Work Permit holders) must ensure that you meet the minimum standards. The new standards are aimed to keep pace with current market price, as well as to ensure that construction firms are equipped with the minimum financial capability and experience to sustain your operations and deliver projects.
All other existing SLOTS entry requirements remains. These include trade/technical personnel requirements and other workhead-specific requirements (e.g. trade/skill certification and additional licensing requirements for all CW workheads and selected workheads) Please refer to all T&Cs in SCAL’s website (https://www.scal.com.sg/membership/slots-application-tnc)
For existing SLOTS members, no action is required and you will continue with any new application and/or renewal of WP in the meantime, before 1 Jun 2025. for as long as the SLOTS registration is not expired.
SCAL is working on an arrangement with BCA so that existing SLOTS members can be registered in CRS through SCAL using their SLOTS registration by 1 Jun 2025. More details will be provided subsequently.
