About the speaker:
Er Punithan is a Professional Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the Building and Construction Industry. He is currently the Director of Building Certification and Ops Planning Department (BCOPD) under the Audit and Inspection Group. He administers the Building Control Act and Regulations in ensuring that building works in Singapore are designed and constructed in compliance with regulations, and are built to high standards of safety, energy efficiency and accessibility. He also assists in the Covid Operations to ensure that the industry keeps tight controls at worksites and remain agile in adapting and implementing enhanced measures to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission in the construction workforce.
