The SCAL Domestic Sub-Contract (DSC), introduced in 2005, was developed to address the lack of a standardised contract for agreements between main contractors and domestic subcontractors or suppliers. This absence often led to inefficiencies and disputes for smaller firms navigating complex contractual terms.
To align with new regulations and evolving industry needs, the DSC has been recently updated. This revision was led by a team of industry experts, including main contractors, subcontractors, lawyers, and claims consultants, ensuring it reflects the current industry landscape and tackles common challenges faced by stakeholders.
